Frank Wolden, RDC Urbanist: The Art of City Design
Join us for the Art of City Design, a series featuring RDC Urbanist Frank Wolden from June 13-July 25 at Bread & Salt art gallery. This exhibition and dialogue series is part of World Design Capital San Diego Tijuana 2024 and it showcases Frank Wolden’s work and his collaborators, including RDC Senior Principal Sean Slater, tracing the evolution of urbanism in San Diego. Explore drawings, current projects, and insightful discussions on lessons learned and their impact on future designs.
The exhibition, along with a series of dialogues, profiles the work of Frank Wolden & his collaborators. The idea for the exhibition began when Frank was encouraged to share his portfolio of sketches & drawings of early proposals for redevelopment in downtown San Diego. The exhibition starts with these drawings & continues through his present-day work reflecting the growth of urbanism in the San Diego region. The exhibition & the dialogues that follow will expose the ideas behind these projects, lessons learned, & how they might apply to current & future designs for the region.
