Last month, the RDC team traveled to Las Vegas for MJBizCon, the world’s largest business-to-business cannabis conference and expo. Renowned as a full-service, award-winning architecture firm committed to transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary ones, RDC’s engaging booth design and seasoned team quickly captivated attendees on the trade show floor.
“Our team had a fantastic time at MJBizCon this year!” said Virginia Maggiore, Principal of RDC. “Between networking with other professionals and exhibiting our industry-leading design portfolio, the conference and its off-site events offered us countless valuable connections and learning opportunities.”
Headquartered in Long Beach, California, RDC has a team of more than 160+ professionals with offices throughout the United States and in Shanghai. Joining the ranks of over 1400+ exhibitors and 30,000+ cannabis entrepreneurs attending MJBizCon, RDC was proud to contribute to an event which is known for cultivating connections, fostering innovation, and propelling industry growth.
Generating Buzz: Drawing Crowds on the Trade Show Floor
Debuting an innovative new booth design on the expo floor marked a significant milestone for RDC at MJBizCon 2023. The double-wide booth, complemented by captivating video displays and an educational focus, attracted a crowd of attendees eager to delve into dispensary design and architecture.
“This year’s conference was not only our first time exhibiting at MJBizCon, but also our first time exhibiting at a cannabis event,” said Virginia Maggiore. “I was excited to see all of the enthusiasm for our brand and to hear how interested everyone is about the future of cannabis dispensary design.”
Strategically located in the Business Services Pavilion among other ancillary companies, RDC’s recently designed booth was well-received and garnered considerable foot traffic. Quickly becoming a focal point of the pavilion, the RDC booth offered insightful discussions, educational resources, and complimentary refreshments for attendees and co-exhibitors.
“Our new modular trade show booth is a prime example of the innovation and creativity that the RDC team brings to design projects,” said Virginia Maggiore. “From conception to execution, our goal was to highlight our ability to produce modern, versatile, and engaging designs, so I’m really proud of what our team created for our booth.”
Networking and Celebrating Growth in the Cannabis Industry
Beyond the conference halls, MJBizCon curated diverse networking opportunities aimed at propelling industry advancement. The RDC team actively engaged in these events, ranging from vibrant brunches to immersive after-parties, which resulted in a busy, yet exceptionally rewarding, week for everyone involved!
“Connecting in a more relaxed setting was fantastic,” said Virginia Maggiore. “Meeting people face-to-face was wonderful, and I truly enjoyed deepening connections and fostering stronger rapport with clients and partners alike.”
Some of the networking events attended by the RDC team included Blunt Brunch, a celebration of women in cannabis, The Underground Party, an interactive graffiti-inspired after party, and The Emjays International Cannabis Awards, an inaugural awards ceremony designed to honor the achievements of ancillary companies in the cannabis industry.
“Our experience at MJBizCon was extremely enlightening,” said Virginia Maggiore. “We gained invaluable insights into the evolving design needs of cannabis dispensaries, and we look forward to exhibiting at future cannabis industry events next year!”
