Festival at Manchester

Located in a close-in suburb of Washington, DC, at 7005 Manchester Lakes Blvd, Festival at Manchester Lakes offers a mix of shopping, dining, and personal services, including one of the first Amazon Fresh stores in the greater area. RDC reinvented the destination, repurposing multiple vacant tenant areas into three anchor spaces with updated branding and facades, completed over several phases. To enhance the center's culinary offerings, RDC repositioned a pad building to accommodate two larger restaurants, complete with outdoor amenities and expanded outdoor seating. The redesign converted medium anchors to rows of village brick arcade shops, adding to the diversity of tenant users and creating curb appeal. Front sidewalk circulation fosters a community-oriented design, accented with occasional pops of painted brick, and nooks that lend themselves to pausing to relax and for photos for social media. The integration of modern building materials and the removal of outdated roof peaks created a welcoming, contemporary atmosphere.
