Located on the iconic Melrose Avenue, Babyletto’s first showroom provides a unique shopping experience for expectant parents seeking modern nursery furniture with a distinctly LA touch. Babyletto partnered with RDC to transform the retail space into a stylish, sophisticated showroom where guests can touch and try out Babyletto’s custom furniture, in an inspiring and design-forward setting, that reflects LA’s modern design trends while playfully nodding to familiar nursery forms.
The design team at RDC reimagined the store layout, creating an inviting and dynamic environment that showcases Babyletto’s essentials. A standout feature is the striking goldenrod modular banquette, inspired by a toddler’s stacking toy, yet refined for a modern aesthetic. The material palette is clean and simple, featuring warm light white oak, stone-look LVT, and saturated brand colors, all complemented by LA-inspired details like terrazzo stone, tinted acrylic, and understated LED signage.
Sustainability was a key focus throughout the design process, aligning with Babyletto’s values and ensuring a mindful approach to material use. Digital navigation points were placed around the showroom to seamlessly integrate Bayletto’s online catalog with the physical store. The result is not just a showroom that highlights Babyletto’s modern nursery furniture, but a versatile space designed for community engagement and events, embodying both form and function.
