Amouage’s first West Coast flagship introduces the luxury fragrance house to Los Angeles through an immersive retail experience rooted in place, memory, and sensory storytelling. Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, the 2,140 -square-foot boutique translates the brand’s heritage into a spatial journey that evokes the landscapes of Oman.
Serving as Architect of Record, RDC collaborated in bringing to life a concept envisioned by Amouage Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon and Paris-based design agency Héroïne. The store draws inspiration from Oman’s wadis, reinterpreting their geological features within a contemporary retail environment.
Layered architectural slats form a sculptural gorge throughout the space, creating a rhythmic, canyon-like experience that guides visitors through the boutique. Mirrored walls and ceilings amplify light and depth, expanding the perception of space while enhancing the sense of immersion. A fluid epoxy floor mimics the reflective quality of a riverbed, reinforcing the connection to water as both a natural and sensory element.
More than a retail store, the space unfolds as an immersive destination. A suspended moon installation, full-height digital screen, and curated fragrance displays create moments of discovery, while an integrated lounge encourages guests to engage with the brand. The absence of a visible point of sale further softens transactional boundaries, allowing the experience to remain seamless, atmospheric, and fully centered on sensory exploration.
By merging architecture, storytelling, and sensory design, the Beverly Hills flagship becomes a physical expression of Amouage’s identity
