Wayfarer Hotel

The Wayfarer in downtown LA was conceived from the beginning as an extension of the successful Wayfarer hotel in Santa Barbara, CA. Envisioned as a luxury hostel or “poshtel”, the Wayfarer caters to a more socially-forward guest experience with shared amenities and dual-purposed design elements. The interior design evolved through the narrative of creating a space for the traveler with a lust for exploration and discovery. Incorporating ideas of the original Santa Barbara design and expanding on new concepts adapted specifically for the downtown LA location, the project team created a unique, eclectic design filled with unexpected discoveries and memorable experiences.
