The Pike Outlets

Long Beach, CA

Client:

DDR Corporation

Size:

360,000 SF
Located near the waterside in downtown Long Beach, the Pike was originally created as an entertainment venue. However with a high tenant turnover, the area was in need of redevelopment and design to attract both locals and tourists to a once bustling area of the city. RDC was selected by DDR Corporation to help reposition the project into an exciting outlet destination and the existing space was transformed into a mixed-use center with shops, restaurants, a Ferris wheel and a unique roller coaster bridge modeled after Long Beach’s Cyclone Racer, a southern California landmark in the 1950’s.
