Hatch Yakitori is an original concept, 2,000 SF restaurant located in downtown Los Angeles at The Bloc, a newly renovated open-air mall in the heart of the city.
Daniel Shemtob, the season two winner of the Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race introduces modern izakaya, with a raw bar that produces “Japanese tapas.” The interior design is inspired by the new hybrid culinary concept of “social street food” and “fine dining.”
Two distinct dining experiences are defined with bold swaths of white and black linked with an iconic wood portal reminiscent of a traditional Japanese bamboo finish. Each of the dining zones offer a unique perspective of the master yakitori chef, framing the preparation and cooking as a performative enhancement to the dining experience.
