When planning the renovation of Del Mar Highlands Town Center, the development team turned to its customers for their invaluable feedback. The collective input resulted in requests for family oriented amenities such as intimate gathering places and quality dining, shopping and entertainment options. The goal of this “reimagining” was to create a stronger sense of place and be seen as a vibrant, community-oriented and contemporary shopping destination.

To achieve the goals of the local community, storefront façade renovations, enhanced public spaces, updated signage, lighting and landscaping have been incorporated to create a fresh and re-imagined Town Center. The former amphitheater was transformed to include outdoor dining, an outdoor “living room” with fireplace, enhanced hardscape and seating, an iconic clock tower, covered escalator, pop jet fountain and performance stage. Del Mar Highlands Town Center is a unique, one-stop destination for the community of San Diego.
