The 70,000-square-foot, 14-screen Pacific’s The Grove Theatres takes its cue from the grand movie palaces of early Los Angeles. The building’s combination of authentic design styles is composed to appear to have been in place for many years. Luxurious, distressed materials were chosen to realize the building’s blend of Art Deco and Classical design styles. Working in collaboration with Caruso Affiliated and other site designers, Retail Design Collaborative worked to ensure that the design of the theater was well-integrated into the overall development. This was done by carefully blending brand identities with building types and features found in urban environments.
