Retail Interiors

Studio One Eleven at Retail Design Collaborative repositioned the Long Beach Airport into what is now one of the Top 10 Best Airports in the U.S. for Dining by USA Today.

The new structure consists of over 10,000 square feet of new retail and restaurant space managed by The Paradise Shops. The restaurant spaces feature a variety of Long Beach‐based brands, including Georges Greek Cafe and 4th Street Vine. Each of the spaces were designed to reflect the unique characteristics of the local retailers and complement the simple design of terminal structures with a contemporary aesthetic. The goal for both the airport and the concessionaire was for the retail interiors to evoke a relaxed resort‐like atmosphere serving as a flagship example of airport retailing.

Enjoyable Ambiance

Celebrating Southern California’s temperate climate, the design incorporates three distinct patios comprising of 4,200 square feet of outdoor seating. The patio’s features include an inviting fire place and fire table, cabanas, suspended lights, and vibrant landscaping.
